WASH YOUR HANDS!

Centres for Disease Control and prevention:

Not only common colds but serious disease like hepatitis A, meningitis and TB can easily be prevented if people wash their hands.

You infect yourself when you do not wash your hands when you touch your mouth, nose or eyes.

The correct way to wash your hands:
First wet your hands and apply liquid soap or a clean bar of soap. Place the bar of soap on a rack and allow it to drain. Next rub hands vigorously together and scrub all surfaces. Continue for 10 – 15 seconds. It is the soap combined with the scrubbing that helps to dislodge and remove germs. Rinse well and dry your hands.

It is estimated that one out of three people do not wash their hands after using the restroom.

In a hospital people DIE due to negligence in performing this most basic infection control procedure.
